The Best Camera Is The One That's With You

Recently I attended the Joe Bonamassa concert at the Taft Theater in Cincinnati. Since my Nikon D3100 is brand new and I'm still learning it, I opted to take my point and shoot to the concert. I really didn't anticipate getting any decent shots in a dark theater but I was pleasantly surprised when I uploaded my pics.

I was reminded of Chase Jarvis' book
The Best Camera Is The One That's With You

In his book Jarvis proves that beautiful images can be taken regardless of the quality of your camera. All the images in his book were taken with his iPhone. I think I realized this long ago when all I had was my little Coolpix to complete my photojournalism assignments at the University of Cincinnati. Even though I'm pretty psyched about my new camera I know it's not really about the equipment. It's all about shooting, shooting, shooting!
