Glorious Birds

I am in heaven! Not just because I just visited the beautiful Gulf Coast with perfect 80 degree weather, but I also FINALLY got my new camera. A Nikon D3100 and boy is it sweet.

I know it's been too long since I've posted here. My little Coolpix finally bit the dust and I was determined to replace with a more advanced camera which required saving a little more moolah. The kit I bought around Christmas was around $700.

The camera is relatively easy to use. But I want to KNOW my camera.

So I turned to my favorite online education source for creatives, creativeLive at: http://creativelive.com/courses They produce their educational videos live and you can view the live session for free. If you can't make the live session the video goes up for sale for a very reasonable price. The sessions are conducted by professionals in the field and include Q&A at the end of the session.

I have courses on all the Adobe CS3 applications and of course my most recent purchase, a one-day workshop conducted by photographer, John Greengo, on the operation of the Nikon D3100. Best $29 I've ever spent.
